BEST investment in health

Still enjoying ALL the benefits of my Levoit air purifier. I make sure to clean and change the filter every 5-6 months just because our Texas climate has changed dramatically. It can be wet, dry, wet, then very dusty and windy. I suffer a lot from allergens, so I want my filter to be clean and working properly at all times. It was a big investment in my health and it was worth it. On the 2d. that I had a cleaner, I didn't get any serious infections. I am so grateful. It means so much to me!

Not sure what to make of this

I have 2 units for different rooms. I got this filter 4 months ago in a residential area. What worries me is that my car has never indicated a need for replacement. stuck with blue. No pets. I decided to take a look anyway and wow the filter is really dirty. I have asthma and breathing problems so clean air is important. I've owned them for quite some time. The same block in the bedroom is still fine. I ride 2 there too. My dilemma is whether I need to invest more money if I'm not told to…

Only genuine filters should be used

See I'm ALL for saving money but people who don't buy genuine filters are stupid. $20 for a "filter" from a company that might use cardboard as a filter for everything you know. My lungs and allergies are too important to blindly trust a non-OEM filter. But to each his own. These reviews may be good, but what people overlook is that they are more likely to buy filters. This filter is the heart of the device and ensures that it works as intended. I love my Levoit cleaner for many reasons besides

Really amazing air filter and well priced

photo later from July 2020 to December 2020 / 5 months difference. The filter change indicator came on after about 4 months, last time it took 7 months for the filter change indicator to light up. This time it was much dirtier than last time. I live in CO and with construction dust, summer droughts and wildfires it makes sense that a second replacement was needed in less time. They work and they're legit, but they should be closer to $30, not $50. Bad value.

The business model "cheap printer, expensive ink" applies here, although the device is not cheap. My last filter worked for about 6 months when set to auto adjust. which means that at $50 a year I need at least $100 a year to run this air purifier. I think replacement filters are grossly overpriced and I'm pretty sure that's what Levoit does for a living. However, they work pretty well. The old ones look dirty. Bought this air purifier about 8 months ago. it was amazing. Life changes, honestly. One of those things I didn't know I needed until I got it.
