Review on Rupes 180 mm (7 inch) Blue Coarse Foam Pad: Professional Grade Sanding and Polishing Tool by Josh Lewis

I bought this as a base for microfiber hoods when I want to remove wax or sealer on my cars. Not bought for color correction. It works great for my purpose. 7" diameter fits 6" microfiber hats. It holds them in place to prevent the buffer pad from rotating in the hood. I've had this problem in the past when using 6" pads or softer finishing pads in 6" lids. I can buy a Rupes Green Pad which needs to be a little softer just to see if it works. It's quite firm so I'm concerned about how well it will flex and conform to the body's lines while trying to buff off any remaining wax or sealer. This carpet is very hard and very rough. I have some Lake Country CCS pads, Chemical Guys Hex-Logic pads, and Lake Country microfiber cutting/buffing pads. Compared to Lake Country CCS Orange, Rupes Blue is a coarse sandpaper. This is the hardest and roughest pad I have ever bought. This is a HEAVY correction pad. Unless you've done major body work and don't need to buff out the actual sanding marks, I don't think this is the pad you need.
