Review on 🔧 Rugged Ridge 11210.27 Hood Catch Kit, Textured Black; Fits 2018+ Jeep Wrangler and 2020+ Gladiator by Jeremy Carpenter

I love these Rugged Ridge Jeep Wrangler JL hood locks. They are much better than OEM caps as the plastic caps will turn gray over time. These new latches are metal and give the Jeep hood a tough look. My only downside here is the facility. The lower latch on the Jeep body has two hex head screws that are difficult to tighten (see 2nd and 3rd photos). Jeep body contours only allow hex driver clearance on the right side. The left side of the latch doesn't allow any play, even with an offset hex screwdriver. I ended up applying some blue Loctite to the threads and holding the hex head on the left side with my fingers, tightened the right hex with a standard hex screwdriver. I'm hoping the blue Loctite will keep the hex nuts from loosening. For this reason I only give the installation 3 stars out of a 4 star overall rating.
