Periodic junk: controls and indicators

I'm a retired electronic engineer. and I have never seen such bad switches. One switch became intermittent within 30 operations. I cleaned it with contact cleaner and it works again. Shortly thereafter, another switch became intermittent. I didn't have the time or cleaner to spray it on so I lived with it at times. Before I could finish the job, the first faulty switch I resprayed became intermittent.
