Review on Enhanced Home Protection - Securityman 2-in-1 Door Security Bar & Sliding Patio Door Security Bar by Ryan Marx

Won't put anyone off, but will slow down/can be annoying.

my friend had a more powerful version of this and I wanted something like this as I've recently been living on my own. This option seems cheap. It's thin and light, the foot doesn't hold up well. It looks and feels like it wasn't designed at an angle and the fit isn't tight which makes a big difference in how well it can hold your door. The distance between the dive pegs is long enough that I end up with an awkward angle on my door. All of this would be forgivable if the door didn't open, but it isn't. I always review security items so I know what to expect from them. This successfully slows the speed at which I can open the door when I'm not trying to break it. If someone picked your other locks or rammed the door with their body, that would be absolutely no problem. I don't have much upper body strength and was able to slide the door both in and out without my other locks. There are much nicer and stronger versions of it. They're not 100% perfect, but if you want more quiet, I'd spend the extra $10 and buy something that's really good for the purpose.

Pros
  • EASY TO USE: Easily attaches under the doorknob and easily removes. The roll bar can also be easily adjusted
Cons
  • not sure
