Sometimes I am allowed to work from home and at work I like to use a large monitor, a real keyboard and a real mouse with my docking station. I have an even better monitor, keyboard and mouse for my home computer, so I figured why not use my home appliances with my work laptop. I got hold of a cheap used docking station for my work laptop on eBay and bought this KVM switch. on Revein. I just hooked up the cables for this KVM and everything worked beautifully. It came with software on a CD. I didn't bother to install the software. I was a bit concerned that another review here mentioned something similar to pixelate a lower resolution video than the one I'm using, but the video is PERFECT for me. And believe me if the video was bad I would complain and return the KVM. Years ago I tried a large monitor with a VGA cable and found it wasn't sharp, then a friend told me to use DVI instead of VGA. So I use DVI for my large monitors at home and at work for crisp, clear video. And with this DVI KVM switch, video is still great.
