After a month and 2 firmware updates I logged in and was told there was no volume or files on the device, but when I logged in from a network client via NFS the volume was there as were all files. Another hard reset and it started "working" again. Too expensive to maintain, a network drive has to be set up and forgotten. I replaced it with a more expensive Synology device and the difference was like night and day. Gave the unit away instead of sending it back as it works exactly as intended and that's the whole problem with it.
