My laptop slips in just right. The padded edges are thick all the way around and the piping keeps it from contacting the zipper. It still has some space to move a little but it is easy to slip in and out quickly, I wouldn't want it any tighter my ThinkPad is "14 3/8 X 9 7/8 X 1 1/4".The outside pockets are OK with inner pockets to pack paper or cords . My trackball and charger will fit but not very well leaving bulges on the outside and they would be vulnerable to being banged around with thin padding. I also have a hard case if I really need to carry luggage and this Sleeve soft case fits inside it. The fabric feels tough and water resistant I haven't seen any bad seams or other defects. It should be durable. I like the dark teal color but It may show dirt in outdoor service I think It can be cleaned.
