This knife sharpening tool is almost as bad as some cheap Walmart junk products with added angle adjustment. Not impressed! The "boron nitride hex" part of HBX is very faint and I think it might not even be the real boron nitride HEX substance and not the right shape. It scratches metals crookedly and badly, a sharpener shouldn't. The ceramic part will wear out after a few careful uses. The ceramic scissor sharpener has only been used once or twice and that's all it did for me. However, I wish I had just bought better scissors. Maybe you have better luck. I prefer sharpening with stones. A well-made blade is so smooth and perfect you might think it was blunt, but no, it slices through bone or a paper towel roll with no resistance. Sharpening the stone properly will easily cut your finger if you're not very careful with the finished blade. Much luck.
