Review on 🕯️ Premium 100pcs Wooden Candle Wicks for DIY Candle Making - Smokeless Wicks with Iron Stand by Nicole Mcleod

Even burn, good crackle, great price

I'm by no means an expert on candle making, but I've spent several years in the candle industry. Wooden wicks are finicky by nature and require more maintenance and adjustment than a regular wick. I've found this to be true across the board from high end candles to cheap finds so make sure you research them before using them and giving a bad review. The candle I made weighs approximately 8 ounces of 100% soy wax with 10% fragrance (this particular candle has not been processed, these wicks are for Mother's Day gifts and should be tested asap) in a 3 inch wide jar. Following the advice of other reviews, I soaked two wicks in olive oil as it melted. below the wax. While the wax was cooling the wicks were blotted and lightly covered with aromatic oil, both wicks placed in a clamp and secured to the bottom of the jar. As I poured the wax, I watered the wicks to cover them and help them fuse together (a method I saw in a YouTube video). This particular wick set has a good crackle and has been burning consistently for over an hour. tips of wooden wicks. If your candle is tunneling you will need to trim the wick further, starting at 1/4 and working your way down. 3/16 seems to be the nicest place. If your wick smothers, blow it out or wait for it to go out and soak up some of the melted wax with a paper towel. Light again, repeat if necessary. Overall I think it's worth the price and would definitely buy it again.
