This is the third time I have had to replace the left fan on my 2011 17" MacBook Pro, the first time the right fan. These fans are great compared to original and previous replacements quiet.As other replacement parts have been the result of squeaky bearings I have high hopes for these Padarsey maglev suspended units.But for the price if I get a few years from them it will be a good investment.because of their reasonable cost .Use both fans if you have opened your case and exposed both.Full instructions on how to replace these fans with new ones are available online. You'll need a few (inexpensive) tools and relatively good eyesight to make the swap. I suggest that you watch at least one YouTube video of the process before starting on your own if you haven't already. It's better not to start a replacement than to be stopped halfway because you don't see what to do or if you break something.
