X-Protection furniture pads are much thicker than most I've seen. This is fine for my application as the furniture it is designed for is heavy and does move around a bit from time to time. In my case, I had to lift the corners of the furniture myself to assemble it, and this is where it got risky. I did not thoroughly remove the remnants of the previously applied thinner pad and as expected the pad slid off when the furniture was moved. This is in no way the fault of the product, it is the fault of the user. However, there is another brand that I have used on other furniture that has an even stronger grip even though it's not as thick. I think if you have access to furniture legs to clean dirt or glue off them you should be fine.
