Review on πŸ“± Huawei P40 Lite JNY-LX1 International Version - 128GB Crush Green, Dual 4G and 6GB RAM by Agata Weronika Bujok ᠌

Product is unreliable, just don't buy it.

I have been using the phone for 6 months. Before buying, I read reviews about the lack of Google play services, but decided that this would not be a problem for me. How wrong I was . In general, the phone works fine, it's powerful, it charges quickly, the camera is super. True, if during the day you do not turn off the distribution of Wi-Fi in general and at the same time periodically poke around in it, you have to charge two or even three times a day. But without distribution, it keeps the battery perfectly. So, my complaints are specific - firstly, I love the paid features of applications and subscriptions. On this phone, you can normally pay only for , everything else either does not make it possible to buy a premium version at all, or you can only pay for an annual subscription (and this is usually 2-3k, which is less pleasant to pay one-time than 350 per month). Secondly, I decided to do ar development. But absolutely all applications available on Android (that is, in general, all existing applications for ar developers) work exclusively with Google Play services. Even if you download the apk file, the application simply will not open. That is, with a huawei phone, access to the latest technologies is closed to you. Thirdly, it is generally not convenient. You constantly have to look for "crutches", broken versions of applications, no automation. For example, the meditopia application - I try to manually enter an email, it gives an error. Upgrades to huawei come centuries later as versions of Google's androids have galloped ahead. In short, if you just need a car to work and shoot - a great phone. If you want to get the most out of your phone, you'll quickly hit the Iron Curtain.

Pros
  • Power, camera
Cons
  • The lack of Google Play services turned out to be really critical
