I am happy with these deflector deflectors. My register is 14 inches long so they open very wide. I think they seem a little less durable as a result, but still happy with them. The reason I think this is because each is made up of two pieces that don't seem to fit tightly together, causing them to wobble. When they are in the same register they seem to do better with the magnets held in place, but I wish the grip on each other was a little tighter. Although the magnets hold in register very well. My curtains hang on the floor and when the air blows they usually go up and the air goes out behind them. Adding this keeps the curtains behind the cash register where they should be. That's why I got them and they do their job.
