We bought this product the most for the lye that wasn't in our old filter. We love the slim jug design and it fits perfectly in our fridge. It's easy to use and filters water faster than our old pitcher. Replacement filters cost about the same as our old ones and we feel we get more benefits from an alkaline filter. The only downside is that we have a bad habit of filling our water glass immediately after we've filled the jug's lid with water and before it's had time to filter. If you try to pour water before it has been filtered, it will overflow. We could "steal" a cup with our old mug, so we lost that ability with this mug. Overall we are very satisfied with the product and recommend it to friends and will continue to use it for a long time.
