After doing some research I decided that this WP-BB type filter would be best for use in my American Plumber W10-PR filter housing which is used to filter non-chlorinated well water the house. The price was better than any similar filter I could find, so I ordered it. Upon receipt I installed the filter and it fitted perfectly into my filter housing. After installing the filter, I re-measured the TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) in my tap water and found that the reading was reduced by 30% compared to my previous filter, the S1-BB pleated cellulose filter. According to the recommendations of the filter technologist, such a "wound" filter is to be recommended instead of a pleated cellulose filter for unchlorinated well water. I am very satisfied and have reordered to take advantage of the great price for a great product.
