I live in the Far East, winters are cold (-25. -35 is the norm), there are a lot of slides in the city. I don't understand how people without spikes drive. The most indicative was the moment when it started to snow in early January and leapfrog began on one of the climbs - everyone who had Velcro got up on buses and monodrives. Polnoprivodniki and spikes went all even with a full stop (including me). Specifically for this model, I didn’t ride spikes before it, the comparison is a bit incorrect. In fact: it slows down a little worse than predicted on clean asphalt (no comparison with Velcro, Velcro flies far beyond the intersection at the same speed), the spikes are all in place and the rubber is soft (issue August 16, I took a new one), I don’t drive at all worrying about the distance or the speed of the flow - as much as you can according to the signs and the food, it doesn’t matter if it’s snow or ice, a turn or a traffic jam - the car is perfectly controlled and does not blow it anywhere. Only one caveat - the back throws a little into the turn (I have front-wheel drive), which is even more of a nice bonus - the turning radius is smaller. I sometimes started to touch the inner curb with the rear wheel because of this. In situations with snowdrifts, the rubber also does not give up; with careful work with gas, it rides decently in the snow. Again, no comparison with Velcro, in principle, no matter how hard you try, it got stuck in the parking lot near the house on the slightest bump (I had to get out and dig the bottom into the buildup). Right there - a little scattered snow on the sides (backward to leave), removed the edge from the snow blower, calmly drove off. The most shock was in the surrounding areas where there is snow and ice (at public transport stops). These spikes behave almost like on asphalt, I still get high from the behavior of the wheels on packed snow and ice. Next year I will wear them, no options at all. They work out their price by 120%. Yes, all wheel drive. They are blown away by Velcro, spikes - behave more predictably, especially in corners and when braking. Bought in September '16.
