Not submersible!: External accessories

I was planning on using them on a boat trailer so I put one in a glass of water first. The inside of the hull quickly filled with water. It continued to work (and continues to work after a day), but even if the LEDs don't stop working, the lens (inside) becomes cloudy from debris in the water. This is NOT a boat trailer light. The brightness is good for a marker light and the wires are strong enough to hold up; but it is not sealed.
