Cheap Junk: CPU Fan

*MBPR 2012 15" (Replaced Left Fan) The original fans are quiet and have a steel case (to keep heat closer). Replacement Pdarsay fan cases are made entirely of Plastic and the mounting holes do NOT match. After two of the three mounting screws are installed (they are aligned) you can see the entire fan housing distorting because it is misaligned. Installing the third to last mounting screw, the plastic housing flexes more, and it took (see photo) to cut off the plastic tab on the side to allow the screw to even fit in the hole, luckily this particular screw (all the individual mounting screws are different designs) has a very wide head back, the back cover is still removed ( so small i trusted the product after installation) i ha be checked whether the fan rotates at all. it works, but compared to the stock fan (right side/old) which i didn't replace, the pardarsey fan doesn't whisper. Let's see how long this lasts and I'll update. In my opinion these Padarsey fans are overpriced for what they are. By the way, there are no instructions in the box. You should know that about a year ago (that's how long I live with fan noise) I bought iFixit fans for my 2012 MBPR 15" and found out the hard truth: iFixit swore the fans were new. Inside was here and there baked on dust which the cleaner missed while they were nicely cleaned "like new" on the outside - closer inspection with flashlight a stitch on the inside (everyone lies) finally revealed it half and feigned surprise and I got my money back. After some research I found out that there are NO new fans made from old stock (Apple doesn't sell them to anyone) and anything you buy online that claims to be OEM is all ripped out of the back alleys of the Asian fringe is no joke. While Padarsey fans don't claim to be OEM (just cheap aftermarket fakes), I'd rather take a risk with a shelled OEM teardown. That's how I feel about a Padarsey product.* *BE WORKING EDIT/UPDATE: Af as long as I was writing this, the fan just started making a faint noise. Nothing bad, not disturbing, but it is.
