I used to buy a phone holder that attached to the heater/AC vents but found that this mounting application prevented me from seeing the various controls so I did I bought this holder for a phone to match one of my cup holders. This is the perfect app for me. I do without one of the two cup holders, but it doesn't matter because I'm usually the only person in the car. It's much more important to me that the phone sits lower and doesn't block my view of the various controls than the lack of a cup holder. This cup holder has been designed to fit securely in the cup holder and can be configured in a variety of positions for the perfect fit.
