If you've seen the brand name "Arlo" it's practically the same but cheaper and you don't have to pay for cloud storage. The camera is easy to set up and sync with the free Adorcam app. It comes with a USB charging cable, but you need to provide a charging box and a micro SD card if you want to save and record videos. The quality of the image is pretty good, but it gets very pixelated when you zoom in on an image. It is best used within 30 feet or so of the installation site if you want the best resolution possible. It also needs to be relatively close to your Wi-Fi router, otherwise you'll need a Wi-Fi repeater to extend your signal. Night vision is really good. I was surprised by the quality of the night pictures. Motion detection can be a bit strange. In the application you can set all movements or just "human” movements. I have everything set up and only have one complaint: there is a time lag when it picks up motion and when it starts recording. I think I'll still have all the images I need, but it's a little annoying. It's also possible that the angle my camera is pointing at, but that also had a small impact when testing the table height. I love that the app lets you adjust the length of each recorded video segment if you want to save SD card space and battery life. It really makes everything customizable. I've left mine on the highest battery saver setting, but have also been messing around with watching live streams (which drains the battery more) and it's still at 100% for the last 7 days it's been on. It also allows you to talk live through the camera from the app. In the end, this free app camera works very well and is definitely worth the price. I'll probably get another one or two to hang elsewhere in the house.
