It's simple, you attach the head you want and turn it on! You can adjust the speed for deeper massage/pressure. There are 3 nozzles, each of which can be used for different purposes. The needle attachment is great for a more active massage, especially on the buttocks and hamstrings. I like the help when used on the back because it's not great if you hit the bone/spine. Otherwise, it's easy to use it yourself without any help. You can use from a standing or seated position depending on the area you are targeting. For runners or athletes this is a real must! You can treat yourself to a "self-massage” and end up saving money on massages. It's like having a traveling massage therapist with you all the time! As an avid runner, I love the massage gun. It has been helpful in my training and aids in both injury prevention and recovery. Ask the many athletes who use them! This is one of my favorite pieces of exercise equipment that I own. Battery life is good. He hasn't died for me yet. I like the size of the pistol - the grip is not wide, it is comfortable to hold and use. Even my children can use a weapon on me and they have been hired many times to use a weapon on my manhood and me. We have tried other massage guns and this one is very similar and great value. Definitely cheaper than comparable pistols on the market, but works the same way. I like the case it comes in so it's easy to travel with. Also keeps it protected.
