Review on πŸ‘ž Muck Boot Muckster Ll Rubber Garden Shoes for Men by Alex Mitra

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Exactly what I was looking for

I am a bird watcher and needed a shoe that would keep me dry when traversing wet grass, muddy areas and flat water in warm weather so buying a Muckster II was cheap . I tried them on when they arrived and almost returned them because they were very tight, almost to the point where I restricted circulation while sitting. But the length was fine, so I called Muck Boot and spoke to a helpful customer service rep. She said they would stretch a little, and she was right. The first thing that helped was the imprint of my feet in the insoles. On the first day they felt better when standing or walking because I think my weight compresses the insole just enough to relieve the pressure a bit. After several walks with the birds, walking more than a kilometer each time, they now adapt to my foot shape and are still snug, but cause no discomfort even with thicker socks. This is good because I don't have to worry about them coming loose or my heel lifting, which sometimes happened on my first gear up an incline. (That's no longer a problem.) So now they're broken and I'm glad I didn't return them. You are what I wanted. They are suitable for long hikes in nature. Best of all, I can walk through wet, muddy spots and they're usually clean by the time I get back to my car, especially if I find a puddle along the way.
