Leaves are falling like crazy and my gutters are filled to the brim. Of course, if you do nothing, the drainpipes will clog with leaves, seeds, and twigs and not drain properly. There are several ways to prevent or reduce the tendency to clog, but they can also be quite expensive. Right now I wanted to find a quick, easy, and inexpensive way to help with this issue until I can do something more permanent. So I found them through the Vine program and decided to give it a try. These GardenAce guards are packaged eight per box. Protective covers are made of stainless steel and have a cylindrical shape. They have a slit in the metal on one side so each can be shaped to fit the drain pipe drain hole. They are very flexible so you need to take some care when shaping them. I cleaned my first gutter and was a bit shocked to see a square gutter. This didn't turn out to be a problem though as I was able to shape the bottom of the protective cover to fit snugly down the drain. I was pleased with how it performed on the only gutter I installed it in during our recent storm. The rest of the gutters are too steep for my liking, so I'll have to hire someone to clean them and set up the rest of the Wardens for me. I think they will do their job. I can't comment on their durability but you should use them for several seasons unless they become crushed or lose their shape from accumulated leaves and debris.
