Firstly I'm pretty sure they sent me the wrong setup as the light came with windshield mounts which I don't need (and won't fit in my jeep) but it would be nice if they did. At least they looked pretty solid. The rear fins also had some damage (perhaps from shipping - they were bent in places) but as they sit no one will ever notice, so no damage no foul. Warning: Take another minute and model this thing before installing it with the included wiring harness. I had to drill and modify a bit so the wires weren't visible on my jeep, solder all the connections, power it on and off. Nothing. The lightbar barely flickered, as if the relay connections had been reversed. I checked my connections again and still nothing. I went to Walmart and got another tether and buckled it on and I was hit with a massive amount of light. Overall, my first impression is that the light looks good and is very bright. I got an extra set of windshield mounts so can't complain too much, but the price difference was largely offset by the fact that the included wiring harness didn't work. the thing sang like a banshee. We're not talking about the bar's slight squeak. full of scream. On the plus side, it spooked all critters out of the way and for miles. However, it also mutes the radio at maximum volume. I used door panels on some of the fins and that got rid of the noise, but right now it takes me about $30 to get this thing working and driving like it should. still a pretty good price, even with those extras. Edit 2: I've had this thing for a few months now. In mid-Summer in Texas, where humidity is about 2%, water condenses in this tube. No car wash, no abuse, just watering the lantern body. Downgraded to 2 stars in a short time due to poor build quality.
