Review on 🚽 American Standard White Waterless Urinal - 15.5" W x 19.75" H x 27.75" D (Model 6150100.020) by Larry Lackings

I bought this waterless urinal as part of a home renovation. That was one of the biggest mistakes I've ever made. They are so poorly made that urine cannot drain completely. The urinal will back up around the metal drain ring as it is above the porcelain. This not only makes it terribly unsightly, but also causes odor problems. In desperation, I started cleaning the urinal after each use to get rid of the remaining urine. (By the way, you can't just pour water down the drain to clean it because the water will ruin the chemical that's supposed to prevent odor but doesn't work!). Even cleaning after each use didn't help get rid of the smell. Every time I go into the bathroom, it smells like a corner in a third world country - and that's no exaggeration! It will blow your mind, it's so bad! To credit American Standard, they sent me two other replacement urinals, but I had the same problem. It wasn't a defective urinal, but a general design flaw. The smell is so terrible that I have to get rid of the urinal. This means that the wall where the urinal was installed needs to be repaired. And I lost all the money it was worth for a plumber to install a urinal, not to mention the cost of that overpriced piece of junk! It was a huge waste of time and money. Stay away from waterless urinals that use similar technology. If you have a sense of smell, you will be terribly disappointed (and disgusted!).
