A blast from the past

I didn't realize metal pools existed already. I'm an older man growing up in the 50's and 60's and I vaguely remember metal bowls, although I believe they were round. When another cheap plastic utensil I bought from the grocery store started to break down, I went online to find something more permanent and was willing to pay more. I couldn't believe it when I saw the stainless steel one! Sure, $40 is a bit pricey, but considering I've spent as much, if not more, on skillets in 50 years of…

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons

Great green alternative to plastic tubs

My wife and I love having this kitchen sink to save water - we live in California and should almost always have one. For example, we conserve dishwater to wash the next load of dishes, and during drought restrictions we literally pour water out the window to water a few plants. But. We got tired of buying a new plastic tub every year or two after it cracked and decayed and then ended up in a landfill. We looked for metal alternatives to all plastics because they are more durable and recyclable…

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Addendum to Kitchen and Bath Plumbing Report

***** This is an update of my report. I had to re-glue all the broken legs. Since then they have all gone away. I used an industrial metal and plastic automotive adhesive that was heat and water resistant. Still not held back. I had to use metal screws to reattach the legs. This is a defective product. And as some other reviewers have pointed out, there are holes on the sides near the top. This effectively reduces the water capacity by two inches. If they fixed both issues I would give five…

Pros
  • Excellent construction
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options

It will do, but it arrived all crumpled.

The only reason I was willing to shell out $60 for this wash was because I wanted something durable, not plastic. The frying pan arrived with a couple of large dents which did not appear in shipping as the outer box was undamaged. I was able to pop some of them out, but the photo shows how it looks despite my efforts. I chose not to return it as it is a cosmetic defect which should not affect its use, but it is ridiculous that an expensive product (or any such at all) should arrive in such…

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • So-so
