I've been a fan of Faber-Castell since I was a child. Their products are consistently high quality and reliable. Spring. until now. This is my first disappointment, and god, this is a disappointment! The colors are not the same as here. Heavyweight paper generally has very weak, faded, sterilized colors, so based on the brand credibility and the bright color photos on the product page here at Revain I bought a Faber-Castell board backing in the hope that it would have true colors like this he boasts of what he does. Well, not at all! I put them next to cheap thick paper from the store and the colors were exactly the same! Pale, diluted, weak. There is no red. Just some pink. All the colors look faded like they've been sitting in the sun all summer. Not only are they ugly in and of themselves, they are a lie as the picture on the cover of the notebook shows real reds and real colors! Faber-Castell, what happened?!? Why are all brands of colored paper so faded? What happened to real flowers?
