Much safer than cheap molded plugs for high current appliances (toasters, heaters etc.)

I recently bought an Oster toaster. The molded fork has become too hot. As an engineer, I felt it was too hot for safety reasons, so I looked for a "real" plug. After a few weeks of use, it actually feels cold when running, indicating the molded fork was of poor design (dangerous in my opinion). I've seen similar issues with high current products like this and had to replace the plugs immediately. . Fires have been reported due to these cheap cast plugs. Just make sure you get the correct type of plug for the device (three or two prong, in this case polarized, one plug is thicker than the other.
