I bought five of these stick/stand kits for advanced film students. One of the five came with a broken hinge where the legs attach to the stand and the seller was quick to replace this set. All of our kits came with a plastic grip in addition to a fairly flimsy bar mount that attaches to the boom. I would recommend using a crank instead of a stand mount if you are putting something heavier than a paper lantern on the end of an arrow. I managed to snap the handle off my grip when a gust of wind blew the pole/boom assembly with the 42" reflector off. means heavy use but they're still useful and for the price I can't complain.
