Great Faucet But Be Careful Of The Faucet Hose

I have no idea what the previous homeowner did but my kitchen had a similar faucet. The pull out spray hose began leaking so I spent about $50 trying to fix it only to find out it had metric fittings likely from Japan according to a shop locally. A few days later as I'm trying to figure out what to do I log on Revain and this item is on the front page (Tell me again how we aren't being monitored!) Looks identical and the price is great so I buy it. Everything fits the PEX fittings perfectly, used teflon tape and not a single leak. A week later I see water on my floor and look, everything looks wet. I run the water and nothing is coming from the fittings. The weather here in South Louisiana went from 80's to 30's overnight so I figured it could be condensation. A few days go by and more water, check and see no leaks again. The next day, more water and checked again and this time I saw it. Where the pull out faucet connects is not like the original one with the threaded fittings. This one has a quick connect adapter that you push together to lock. The problem is if you pull just slightly on it the thing pops out and you get mist spraying everything. I never cluttered under the sink because I was making sure everything was ok. So my guess is the water pressure has to be forcing this to pop out. Scary knowing it could pop out and flood under the sink in seconds before you turn it off. So I plugged it back in and took some vinyl tape and wrapped it. I'll check it daily for the next week hoping it holds. Other than that quick connect on the faucet hose the rest is perfect. I'd still recommend this product but warn people to watch where the quick connect is for leaks because the locking device isn't that great

Pros
  • Perfect for both residential and commercial kitchens
Cons
  • May not be resistant to rust and corrosion
