Review on ๐Ÿ”‹ QUICKLYNKS BM2 Auto Battery Monitor - Bluetooth 4.0 12V Car Battery Tester by Jesus Baker

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Pretty elegant. I fight for it.

I have a Garage Queen 2005 'Vette that comes out once or twice a month and over the years have had intermittent low battery issues that I have never been able to diagnose. I devised a volt/ohm meter to avoid a dead battery surprise, but it's difficult to put on and take off. The other day I mentally "invented" a remote voltage monitor based on the Oregon Scientific remote temp gizmos that I have. But I figured if I "invented" something, someone else already did, so I went looking. Revan to the rescue! To review: This monitor and its application is very elegant and very economical. Easy to set up and meet (exceed) specs - accuracy is within 0.01V in my case and Bluetooth range is 50 feet. Make sure nothing is in the way, e.g. B. a kitchen oven. Remember that the Vette is made of fiberglass and not metal. The smartphone app is very easy to use and very well made. The manual is one of the best translations from Chinese. I don't use other options like Run Test so I can't comment on them. I haven't seen any voltage drop in the past few days, which tells me it's probably within the advertised ratings as well - negligible. So for โ‚ฌ35 you can't go wrong. Here's some irony for you: while fiddling with this, I found that my Vette's hood lights didn't always turn off because its mercury switch wasn't working reliably (apparently a known issue). So I had a great monitor for my car/camper van in no time and solved my Wetta problem. Victory, victory, victory.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Minor issues
