Time will tell if this is of great value.

Bought to keep an eye on my Jeep Odyssey AGM battery. I installed it today, 3-20-20. I like how compact it is and had no trouble installing the app on the device using the QR code. The chart is fine, but you can't zoom in or isolate part of the timeline. The range is 20-30 feet. OkIt records voltage over time and you don't need to be in range for it to record data for the period you are out of range. I can't find how to rename the monitor. The instructions are well translated. I'm thinking of…

What a waste of effort! That does not work!

I played around with this for about an hour. The app is so bad that I really can't say much about the sensor itself. Applications for these imported, generic, private label devices are notorious for crashes and complete failures. As many other buyers have pointed out, there is a problem with the PIN code when pairing. The PIN is not listed anywhere on the box or inserts and I can't find it online. The application remains unpaired, the sensor does not work. For everyone who has read this far…

Very good Rev A - Room for improvement

Works reliably and the phone downloads history on every connection. The first area for improvement is range. This uses Class 2 instead of Class 1, so the spacing is reduced. And because it's attached directly to the battery posts, it partially blocks the signal. I can still read the battery charge from about 20 feet away by pressing the phone against the inside of the window. The alerts are useless as I can only determine approximate percentages of what he thinks is still loaded. I want the…

Maybe it's just me, I expected better.

My phone is running Android 4.4.4 and won't stay connected. I ended up uninstalling and reinstalling and that did the same thing. It connects, but once it disconnects you can never reconnect. You may see this on the app's Bluetooth screen, but when you return to the voltage test, it says Disable in red in the top right corner. Nothing I've done has made a difference. Last time my phone saw this it said it was 12.81v, 100% battery is fine. I downloaded the app to my tablet while I was home and…

Pretty elegant. I fight for it.

I have a Garage Queen 2005 'Vette that comes out once or twice a month and over the years have had intermittent low battery issues that I have never been able to diagnose. I devised a volt/ohm meter to avoid a dead battery surprise, but it's difficult to put on and take off. The other day I mentally "invented" a remote voltage monitor based on the Oregon Scientific remote temp gizmos that I have. But I figured if I "invented" something, someone else already did, so I went looking. Revan to the…

Early failure of battery testers

It is important to note that this battery monitor can only communicate with a Bluetooth device such as the iPhone over a very short distance. Maybe a dozen feet. And he said that the iPhone should have Bluetooth turned on, which is a small but continuous power consumption. My Quicklynks device is having problems. He tends to underestimate the battery life and complain that he's running low even though he still has enough energy to run. Sometimes it also says that the battery is still being…

Great RV Tool - Monitoring keeps your toad alive

I bought this to monitor the battery in our MKX while towing behind our 30ft Class C RV I am using my Android phone LG-K30 with a downloaded application to monitor battery status in the car. The MKX tow brake system uses the vehicle's battery to apply the brakes and since the engine is not running the battery will drain after each application. After an incident where the car decided its battery was too low and so went into "system disabled to save battery" mode, which was a little…
