Suitable for USB expansion but not for transfer

This rugged, portable hub is powered by connecting to a computer. The kit includes self-adhesive Velcro for attaching to the surface. Works well for expanding computer USB ports. I had two external hard drives connected to a hub. The transfer rate was slow when attempting to move large amounts of data between two drives. I had a quicker response when I connected both external hard drives directly to the computer. All devices (external drives and headset) work as usual when connected to a hub (except for the transfer rate). Update 10/1: Added an additional star for great customer service from AnkerDirect. You read my review and wanted to know more information about the transfer speed. I would definitely buy from them again.
