Basically a well made block. I have decided that this kit is better than the popular K&N kits because AEM uses a dry filter with a denser media. You expose the K&N element to the sunlight and can see through it. The item is very thin with open pockets. Also, a lubricated block can cause problems with the Hot Wire MAF block. The disadvantage of the AEM unit is that there is no raised lip on the pipe at the end of the air filter so the filter doesn't slip off. You need to pay a lot of attention to this when installing the filter. Combined with a Magna Flow exhaust system you get a very noticeable difference in performance and response.
