Since my Tundra has an intake MAF sensor, I needed a dry filter. The heat shield interfered with the correct placement of the filter on the intake manifold. It kept sliding until I flexed the shield. I like the look of the polished tube, but the filter will slip off if it's not perfectly straight. It would be much better with a lip on the end.

Basically a well made block. I have decided that this kit is better than the popular K&N kits because AEM uses a dry filter with a denser media. You expose the K&N element to the sunlight and can see through it. The item is very thin with open pockets. Also, a lubricated block can cause problems with the Hot Wire MAF block.
