Very fashionable straightening iron

I have an old straightening iron that has stood the test of time. It works on my still damp hair so using this product and having to fully try my hair before I can test it was a little disappointing. Since I have sensitive hair (thin and fine) I used a lower setting. And I used an even lower setting than usual, as the instructions say, to start at a lower temp and work up to a higher temp. I ended up going a few clicks higher, but even then my hair didn't stay straight. I was afraid of going too high because I didn't want to damage my hair. I usually use a very low setting on my other so I don't know if the difference is dry or wet or something else. My hair has natural frizz/curl unless I straighten it and it seems almost impossible to try to get rid of when it's already dry. I would straighten it and then spray it with wet hairspray and it would STILL end up in curved waves. Really very frustrating. I think if I took the time to blow dry my hair with a round brush and then use it it would probably work great hence the 4 stars but in the end I'm too lazy to do it so I guess that I'll end up going back to my tried and true, which I can use while my hair is still damp.
