Just bought a humidifier. The pad is cured and the area under the pad is cured after the first 10 days. Use water from a razor to remove as much as possible. Yes, it does not remove dissolved minerals. So $60 a year if I replace it once a week. We'll see if next week is enough. Otherwise, you will have to use vinegar regularly.
