I had my doubts. This small device was not bought for an aquarium, but for a 3000 liter pond. or the fish may be damaged. IT IS IMPORTANT. If you've ever suffered from burned eyes, you know why. If not, consider yourself lucky and don't push your luck. Keep the light out of sight and away from the fish. This little light did its job perfectly. Cleaning the pond took about 10 days, with me thoroughly rinsing out the filter media every other day. The lights were on 12 hours a day during the trial, but have now gone back to an hour a day. My pond has gone from a green mess to crystal clear. It just took a little longer than the aquarium. I am very happy. Actually in seventh heaven with happiness.
