Sigma 12-24mm lens with Nikon mount

Bought just over a year ago. The only disappointing thing was that this lens did NOT have a small switch to disable auto/manual focus (Nikon mount) as advertised. I'd like to have it on this lens, but I've learned to work around that small drawback. This lens is excellent for photographing large vehicles at close range (less than 4.5m), such as B. fire engines or trains. This lens loves a lot of light. It works well in low light, but it really excels in brightly lit scenes. Focus time when using the Nikon D5000 is fast in good light. However, there are a significant number of caveats to limit "hunting" when shooting at dusk/dawn in the shade. The Nikon D5100 minimizes yaw with this lens and is generally quick to focus in low light. I've found that using a single point instead of a large area greatly reduces the search with this lens on any camera. It's great for capturing large subjects (tall buildings, cranes, or large panoramas capturing anything tall, low, and wide). It is easy to carry and convenient to carry in your pocket. I often use it as a basis when documenting emergency scenes because it captures the bigger picture. When I got it I would have gotten 5 stars if the switch had been on the lens.
