GOOD: - Large capacity. The large 60lb capacity is more than other 50/55lb scales from the same manufacturer at a comparable price. - USB connection. It has a USB port that can be used to power the scale. So if you have a USB cable and power plug lying around (and who doesn't?), you now have a FREE power outlet. This was a huge plus for me as other models have a proprietary AC connector that is sold separately. Very accurate. I have compared this scale to my smaller, more accurate kitchen scale and it has been accurate every time. Detachable screen. The front of the scale detaches so you can weigh large items and still read their weight. - Two-line display. U2 can display pounds and kilograms, pounds and ounces, or several other modes at the same time. I find this feature very useful for my purposes as I can see two different weight scales at the same time. THE BAD: - A bit reserved. This could be a good or bad thing depending on your specific needs, but the top of the scale is about 2.25 inches off the ground. Some of the items I weigh are oddly shaped (grain sacks) so it may take some maneuvering to keep them on the platform and not touching the ground. - Software? I can't personally attest to this because I don't use the connection on a computer of this magnitude, but looking at the negative reviews from others it seems that the computer connection aspect of the Libra is disappointing. I compared the scale to other shipping scales of the same size and none of the other scales had a computer connection. I had no problems with that. It's also worth noting that I never used the scale's battery feature. I have a few extra USB wall chargers at home and I'd rather plug them into the wall than mess with them. with batteries. If you are considering a 55 pound UltraShip digital postal and kitchen scale, I would highly recommend purchasing this scale. According to the My Weigh website, the U2 is a later evolution of the UltraShip 55 and has more features. I haven't noticed any advantage in using the UltraShip series over the U2. When I bought my U2 it was slightly more expensive than the UltraShip, but at the time of writing this the U2 was comparable in price. If you need a computer connection, consider other options like the DYMO Pelouze M25 Digital USB Postal. Scale 25 lb. USB Port Compatible with PC/Mac (1772059) or its big brother the DYMO Pelouze S100 Digital Transport Scale with USB 100 lb. USB Port Compatible with PC/Mac (1776111) to find out if they meet your requirements.
