The example frame in the attached video was created in Photoshop as a pure white frame and intentionally defocused to eliminate the possibility of an annoying moiré pattern. It was then photographed with a Sony A7RIV on a tripod and centered on the monitor. The screenshot is alternately flipped in the video to better see the difference between the sides. When flipped, the sides should have the same degree of brightness non-uniformity, and ideally flipping should be imperceptible. Such bumps are not automatically inherent in IPS screens, which may exhibit some other bumps, especially when the viewing angle is changed. When playing videos, it's easy to see that the right side of the screen is dimmer than the left, with an even dimmer spot in the lower-right quadrant. The first frame of the video has the usual left-to-right orientation. I hope I just received a rare bad copy of this monitor as overall it's really great. *Update* Cocopar's customer service is second to none and they worked with me to find a solution. Rather than trying another copy of this model, which could well be better, I settled on the J173FH10F model. I'm happy to report that this model has far fewer uneven issues than the previous floor model. I don't know if that's due to the design or a better copy. But the bottom line is that Cocopar customer service will not let you down and will find a solution one way or another.
