Overall I'm very happy with this after 2-3 hours of fiddling with connections and wiring. Installation was a breeze thanks to Revain's PIAA 30330 brackets, and the kit included the bare minimum of extras. Advantages? Bright white light with a narrow vertical pattern that's easy to direct where you want it. Bumpers Crazy low power consumption Nice little backlit switch - if yours works Working kit with a reasonable minimum number of parts to get you hooked up Did I say white light is like white light from a seasonal depression? . If you're running Baja before then, look elsewhere. The wiring is very thin and the harness is short for everything but the Wrangler. The switch works as long as you buy the real one. Must be set to level; The pattern is narrow and wide vertically. The white light output will make you want to buy headlight upgrades. I'll point them to the dot for the switch since I have a ground fault and the LED is off. In general I find them a very pleasant light source up close, a nice white rather than yellow. For the backlight 50-75 feet in front of the jeep they will be amazing. There isn't enough fog here to test that aspect. As for the install, if like me you're moderately obsessed (and don't have bulbs or cord to stock) you'll love a roll of cut loom to route and protect tiny wires, a locking braid (Pico 0956pt), a Daystar Firewall -Guardian and maybe a Rugged Ridge rocker switch, it's all available here. If you use the standard fog lamp wiring and switch, you can connect them directly. If using PIAA mounts, place the lights in the mounts (mounting tabs face forward), remove the top panel under the grille. / behind the bumper and lean down to rotate it. To use the PIAA wiring, route the wiring harness up the side of the radiator to the fuse box/TIPM. Ground the black wire to either chassis ground or the battery. If you dare, drill a 3/4 hole where you want the switch. The A pillar works fine, thread the switch wires in and put the switch in place. I routed the wires through a perforation in the firewall under the tie rod and through the back of the hood into the rather flimsy rubber grommet there. The Jeep forums can teach you the ins and outs of connecting to the Jeep system; it's not the most intuitive. wheel in the light!
