Review on Rocaris Abrasive Buffing Polishing Dremel Power & Hand Tools by Hunter Siemon

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Excellent value for money for these small polishing pads, but a custom collet size is required.

I bought polishing pads from 3M or another well-known brand of semi-gloss jewelry. Now that I use them all the time I don't want to spend more than $1 on them as they wear out quickly. These little kids are an amazing find because they work great just like the branded ones and the different grit levels depending on the color actually have more variation on the finer side which is perfect for me as of course I never use most. My main and only complaint is that although they fit my Dremel, the shank is not the same diameter as all of my other bits that come from Jewelry District's suppliers (they are slightly larger in diameter) and neither is this same diameter as similar my other bits. Dremel drill bits that are not intended for jewelry (they have a slightly smaller diameter). This means that every time I want to use one of these buffing wheels I have to change not only the bit but also the Dremel collet. Okay ok no big deal actually it is, especially if you reuse your dremel after polishing and forget the "Rocaris size collet" is still there so put in a slightly smaller diameter collet, these seams fit, but it's just a little tight, but you start using it and then you realize it won't spin properly because the collet is too big. THIS MANUFACTURER WOULD SELL THEM A LOT MORE IF THE SIZE OF TAIL WERE THE SAME AS OTHER JEWELRY! (only because then they would actually be exactly the same as brands)

Pros
  • practical item
Cons
  • Doubtful purchase for the elderly
