Review on ⚙️ RAM PRO Grommet Eyelet Rivet Plier: Efficient DIY Tool for Precise Hole Punching and Fastening Solutions by Michael Hughes

I'm sorry I didn't invest that money in a real press.

I am one of the reviewers who reads other people's reviews very pickily to weed out the insincere ones. Other than that, I don't write much and I hope this helps if you're on the fence. Spend a little more and get real abs. I'm pretty mechanical and struggle with this thing every time I use it. Sleeves fall from the dies, they are deformed, and now there are also broken ones. At first I attributed it to user error, but when you take 10 shots only to get one of them halfway done like it should, it doesn't disappoint. And even then, some of the bars just fell off. I really wish it was what I was looking for, literally spent hours watching videos and repeating instructions thinking I was missing something. It says take small pieces and I did. But the bottom line is that the force required to rivet one of these latches or grommets seems like a very accurate science. One that's not easy to figure out with a vise. Too little locking pressure will not hold too tight and the dies will break. And in a way I wouldn't be so critical if I could order replacement matrices. Unfortunately I can't find anywhere where I can only order the broken ones so I can make a few more attempts. If you buy one though, the masking tape will hold the stamps in place well and will definitely bite off very small bits until you think it's well attached and then cross your fingers. In retrospect, I should have invested that money in real press. The reviews for this product are definitely overrated and can be misleading. One more thing, because I don't like to leave products out if I think they weren't intentionally misleading. Given that I've managed to get the latches working in some things and the jacks working halfway in others. I would say I got my money back for this product. So I'm not saying you're wasting your money. I say it's frustrating and it won't last, and the times I've actually gotten it to work haven't been very good.
