Review on Aquarium Thermometer: General Tools AQ150 with Waterproof Probe for Accurate In and Out Temperature Monitoring by Tamara Simms

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Brilliant. I will be buying these for all my aquariums and reptile habitats

Amazing! I've been using it for about a month and this is an honest review. Nothing for this review. Pros: Accurate to within 1 degree (maybe 1.3°). I've tested with some HVAC meters that I use and trust. It updates about every 15 or 20 seconds. It's easy to program, has selectable F and C. It's quite large. for reading with 1 inch digits, the unit is 3"x2". The alarm is loud enough, but does not hit the ears. Comes with Velcro for the module and a suction cup for the probe to stick to the glass. FYI, it didn't come loose on the probe's long cable, you can mount it several feet away! Comes with an extra battery CONS: It's easy to see at night, it has a button to light up, but it's a momentary button. The light is only on when pressed. It must be programmed before installing or sticking. Not a big one! ITS WATER RESISTANCE! NO NO. I accidentally dropped it in the tank! It displayed junk numbers, the buttons didn't work and I thought it was toast after owning it for 25 minutes! I took out the battery and left it near the fan overnight. .and it still works!

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Available in white only
