This is a good little thermometer. The gauge I received is accurate, I tested it with chilled (50F) and warm (130F) water and compared it to the readings I got with Thermapen, shaking the water to avoid hot spots avoid. Although the theme adjusts much more quickly, both readings were within 0.3 degrees of each other after about a minute. UPDATE 8/12/2015 I finally had to replace my original AQ150 (review below) because I seem to have broken the probe cable by pinching it between the aquarium heater and the heater's suction cup mount.
