Our saga begins on February 5th, 2021. While I eagerly awaited the arrival of my latest life-changing smart device, which will be woken up by my friendly USPS courier at home, I finished mine Raisin bran and dusted off the perfect spot for my new WiFi IR/RF Emitter. To my delight, it arrived just before I exploded with absolute excitement, so I took it out of my shipping box. Once inside, I tenderly opened the package and unwrapped my new device! Joy! Christmas cheer hit me just as I was reading the instructions and unplugging the power cord (no block. You have to assume we have USB outlets all over my house. We don't). I set it up (plugged in the cable and hit the reset button, then downloaded the "extremely well-written" program from the App Store. (Quotes are for sarcasm. Keep up the good work.) Misspellings and grammatical inaccuracies, I summarized, that I had to choose one of the two setup modes and was confused by the setup process which included a lot of pictures but didn't make much sense Unfortunately it didn't connect when my new toy wouldn't connect to my existing router Day 2: Because I needed it anyway, new router we got a new Blackhawk to really improve the house! Hooray again! Online I went back to the app to try and fix that evil Larry once and for all! Now on to Part 2. Let's program the remote control to my fan (RF) so I can start getting some mi eh from this little pony 1 has no joy try 2, almost connected. Try 3 by programming a device yourself that isn't on their list. Nothing. There was some hope in the middle and some vanishing knots of information I've gleaned from the whole process, but as it stands now this silly little black cylinder isn't connected to anything other than my router, it's not working and looks fine from where it ended up in my neighbor's yard before I mow grass in the spring. Definitely a fun lesson on wasting money, but if you're looking for a product that actually makes a difference, don't waste your time. Much luck!
