This review was difficult for me. It's actually a pretty good product that just didn't work for me and I had to return it. It also had a small defect but I gave it a try to see if I needed another one. I did not do it. Advantages. It's most likely waterproof, although I've never tried to spill anything on it. It's not noisy like many waterproof pads. It's really awesome. I get very hot at night and this has helped. Cons The main problem for me is sleeping on my side, I need some softness on the top of the bed. I have a new mattress with a foam layer on top and micro coils to reduce the pressure point. The top of this rug is quite hard and doesn't let me feel the softness. Hard isn't quite the right word. It's hard to describe. The quilted material is very dense and doesn't stretch, so I had bruises. I think this would be a great product for those who like a very firm mattress topper. If you have a soft mattress and want to sink into it a bit, it will greatly reduce that feeling.
