There shouldn't be so many occasions for this level of frustration! one might think of a tailor. Getting the bottom bobbin thread to "hook" is quite difficult and the instructions on how to do this are a joke. I had to search YouTube to finally find a video showing how lucky you could be that this works. When I use a full spool of thread for the top stitch, the tension is either too tight or too loose and the thread wraps around the spool pin. Once you get all of these things up and running, you "may" have a chance to sew something. I can't tell you how many times I've started a stitch and the machine made many knots, forcing you to abandon what you were doing, probably fueling up the whole machine and emitting a torrent of expletives that would make a soldier blush would! When I bought the machine I had some Velcro strips with me for my child to sew on. The actual sewing took maybe 10 minutes; Getting the machine up and running (see above) may have taken a few hours! And a few minutes ago I had a seam that needed fixing (maybe 5 inches) and spent over an hour fighting the machine. I was able to hand sew the whole thing in about 10 minutes. If you don't have the patience of Job (from the Bible) and/or the money to spend it fully, just don't. You will keep kicking yourself. My only consolation is that it only cost me about $30.
